...LOVING "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"!!

Can you say OBSESSED?! Not them--ME!! I am obsessed with them!! I do not watch a lot of television so I guess you can say I’m not a “television junkie” but when it comes to The Real Housewives, I watch religiously!

I hate giving reviews so this is only a simple introduction, if you want to know more about the women or the show hop onto bravotv.com and read up!

First, let me tell you a little about the show if you are not familiar. The Beverly Hills housewives are the newest addition to the housewives series on Bravo. Others that air are New Jersey, Hotlanta, D.C, New York, and Orange County. I do not watch all of them; only three actually. Ryan and I both watch New Jersey, Orange County (my fav) and now Beverly Hills.

Basically, the show just follows several housewives/women, 6 in Beverly Hills, through their day-to-day lives which consist mainly of DRAMA. It is sooo fun to tap into another person’s life whom you don’t know and experience the way they live for an hour a week through my television.

If you have not ever watched an episode of the Housewives, I suggest doing it NOW. But be careful-it is addicting! Now, if you have, and you watch it religiously like I do, I would love to see if your opinions of the women match up or differ greatly from mine.

Thoughts that first come to mind when I think of the women:

Lisa:
•Absolutely hilarious!! She is so funny.
•She has the cutest accent and says “bloody” with every darn comment.
•Her husband is equally as cute in his ways
•I admire how much money they have, have worked for, and continue to work for.
•And to still be married after all these years?!—that is almost unheard of now-a-days! I think it is incredible!
•Jiggy absolutely makes me want a Pomeranian! He is THE cutest dog on the planet!! Ryan asked last night, “Can Jiggy not walk?” in all seriousness because he has never seen him not being carried. Haha.
•Her wedding ring—what is the deal with that thing?! It is really a wedding ring or is it a cocktail ring she wears often? I cannot tell and haven’t gotten a good enough look at it (believe me, I’ve tried!) but if it is truly a diamond wedding ring that she wears 24/7, I think we should ALLLL be jealous!

Camille:
•Hands down, the most beautiful woman I have seen on the Housewives, she is absolutely stunning in my opinion.
•Her voice and the way she talks?! Annoying and over exaggerated
•The fact that she thinks women are always jealous of her instead of simply admitting that she did something wrong in a situation drives me crazy. Yes, you’re pretty, but yes, people can also be mad at you as well!
•Her marriage?! Complete failure. It has not been aired yet that they are indeed divorced now but just from a few episodes, I can see why. And how he stayed with that nutcase for 13 years blows my mind. They have the strangest “connection” I’ve ever seen from a married couple.

Taylor:
•Very annoying. I wouldn’t mind them just cutting her from the show.
•Too much plastic surgery. Her face looks as though it could collapse if a strong gust of wind came her way.
•She acts like they have lots of money but I am not convinced they do…is anyone else getting that feeling?
•Her husband doesn’t help the situation, he is a complete dork.

Adrienne:
•Amazing! She is the most down to earth of all the women yet the wealthiest. Funny how that works, isn’t it?
•Ummm if I owned the Palms, I would LIVE there. Forget having my own house!! 
•Her husband is soo funny. He reminds me so much of Ryan.
•Very independent and hard working—how can you not admire that in anybody, male or female?!

Kim:
•I have no doubt in my mind that she is a wonderful mother but I tend to think that is all she is.
•She is a complete ditz, nut ball, unpredictable type lady and not in a good way.
•Because she was a “child star” I do think she is scarred for life, and not in the way she describes. I think she is scarred because she cannot get over it! Nobody cares anymore..hellooo.
•And why is she always twitching and moving around so strangely?!

Kyle:
•Probably the one I relate to the most
•In general, I think she is level headed in most situations and see’s thing in a realistic matter.
•I think she is gorgeous! Her long dark hair and dark eye brows are sooo pretty.
•Her smallest child (not sure her name) is the cutest little thing I have ever laid eyes on!!
•Her husband?! Well, if you watch the show you already know ;)
•I do, however, see money problems developing with them. I’ m not sure if the show just happened to show those little clips (him not wanting her to spend, and also talking about real estate being down) for no reason or if it was a little foreshadowing..we’ll have to see!

To go along with both Kim and Kyle, I wanted to throw in my own little piece about the two of them and their “sisterly” relationship. I do NOT think these two have a healthy, loving, relationship in the least bit! I think what they have is far from healthy, and not ideal in any way. I truly feel everything is a competition between them and not in a healthy way. They fight dirty, spew mean comments at one another, and have not ONCE had each other’s backs when it mattered most. They are critical to the core of one another and in all honesty, when it came to a matter of life and death, I’m STILL not even convinced these two would show up for one another. I get that they are grown women and can make their own choices, fight their own battles, and live their own lives but it sure would be nice to see one stick up for the other every once in awhile. They even bring their children into matters that shouldn’t involve them just to get to one another. It is just nuts.

And what was the deal with Kim just sitting there while Crazy Camille attacked Kyle? Regardless of whose side you were on, did you think it was crazy that Kim didn’t speak up and say something, especially when she was there!? Truth be told, whether my sister was right or wrong in the situation I’d be darned if I’d a) let somebody yell at her like that and b) I’d sit there and not speak up when I KNEW what was said. That to me was just the icing on the cake. So for them to act like, in their personal interviews, that what they have is just a loving, sisterly relationship, is fake in my opinion.

So, I hope you liked my novel on the women and hopefully it was enough to convince you to at least tune into ONE episode, it is worth it, trust me! Let me know what you all think and until then, I need to get off this bloody computer ;)

...RAISING ONE L.A.Z.Y DOG!

You know those days when you just don't want to get out of bed no matter what time it is? Then, when you finally manage to crawl out of bed you instantly retreat the couch, where your favorite blanket is calling your name? These days usually happen to me after a long night out, or a Sunday.

To Dezi though, these days happen every day. She is THE laziest dog on the planet, I swear to you. If Ryan and I were to sleep 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you can bet your bones Dezi would be right there with us, loving every minute of it! She will literally move from place to place, depending on where I am at at the moment, and sleep in waiting. Whether it's the bathroom floor, or on a step, Dezi will sleep wherever and however.

I will say, however, that she is ALWAYS on "duty". I don't think her sleeping is full-blown sleeping but rather a "cat nap". If anybody as much as shuts a car door in the neighbors drive, she is alert to it and ready to fight at the sign of danger. When there is nothing going on though, you can bet that she is resting up for the next big adventure. I mean, afterall, it is tough work guarding a place all by yourself 24 hours a day.

Also, what I find so funny, are her many sleep positions. She is so dramatic in how she sleeps. She is never just curled up, looking innocent. She insists on being sprawled out, feet in the air, laying on a shoe, something. Here are some of her many sleeping positions..maybe you will find them as funny and strange as I do.

Here she is sleeping near the vent. How uncomfortable does this look?!

Here she is cuddled up with Bella on the couch..or rather, Bella cuddled up with her on the couch.

This was her sleeping on the BATHROOM floor, on a flat iron cord, while I was getting ready to go out. Really Dezi, really?!

This is her and Bella on the couch a different time than shown above. This picture puts a smile on my face every time I look at it.

Here she is in her favorite spot on the couch again, backwards.

Here she is laying by a door, on the disgusting entry mat.

Ryan and I were laying on the couch watching a movie this night and this is how she laid with us. She is lacking in the modesty department ;)

And finally, this is how Bella sleeps every time. She makes a cuddle bed and curls up in a ball..nothing dramatic like her big sister!

...READY TO ENJOY A WEEKEND AT HOME...

The other night while lying in bed, Ryan says to me "I can't wait to have a Saturday where there is NOTHING going on." It was only then that I started to REALLY think about our past 6 or 7 Saturdays and realize that we haven't stayed home one Saturday! We have had weddings (yes, plural), birthday parties, Halloween parties, and everything in-between. It has been a non-stop train as of late but I am looking forward to the upcoming weekend full of NOTHING. And even though I am looking forward to a Saturday home, I am blessed to have so many wonderful people to spend every other Saturday with! :)

What else has been going on? Not a lot. Same old, same old. Ryan has been working a lot lately since they are really busy around the holiday season, which makes him tired all.the.time. Also, we just found out their company Christmas party is in a few weeks, can you believe that?! It seems entirely too early to be celebrating CHRISTMAS! Besides that, he is doing well and is done with school (for the second time!) in 6 short weeks!! Woohoo! We have no idea where his job, or life for that matter, will lead us afterwards but hey, 6 weeks is 6 weeks :)

As for me...Nothing too exciting. I have been attempting to plan our cousin Christmas down in the Ozarks as of late. That is quite the task with sooo many people involved but it is actually fun to plan as opposed to the dreaded family pictures. Besides that, with the quick transition from fall to winter I have been on a mad hunt for winter clothes lately that are both trendy AND teacher-friendly. That has been quite the task, let me tell you. Everything that is deemed “teacher appropriate” seems so boring and bland. Its not that there aren’t trendy clothes out there that cover me up, but it seems like they look so young and being semi-young as it is, I don’t want them to get the wrong impression and think I’m one of them! So, granny sweaters it is ;) Besides that, nothing else new!

As for the girls…they are doing well. They also hate the fast transition from fall to winter but seem to be fine while lounging around in the house. Their hair has gotten so long it disgusts me, so they have a grooming appointment Tuesday morning. I’m sure they’re looking forward to that haha. Oh, I almost forgot, Dezi almost caught another mouse the other night! Ryan took her out to potty late at night and the mouse was down where the house dips in by the basement windows..I don’t know what that thing is called for sure but hopefully you know what I’m talking about. Anyway, the poor little thing got stuck down there some how and when Dezi saw it she went nuts. She was wining trying to figure out if she should jump down into that thing or not, and the mouse was squealing trying to find a way out! Finally, it lifted itself out of there and took off at some point. The last thing I need is Dezi bringing another rodent inside, ew!

Anyway-hope that got you all up-to-date on our lives and filled in a few blanks for the last few weeks. Hope everybody is enjoying the changing weather and staying warm!

Unfortunately, I haven’t taken many pictures over the last few weekends. I did, however, take a few shots on my cell phone here and there. The quality is horrible but it is better than nothing, right?!

Nichole, Katie, and myself when the reception was closing down. We had no idea they were about to shut it down until it came over the loud speakers. We were in party mode so we gave "mad" faces to show our frustration haha.

Pretty fall decoration

Shelly and Sarah. You can't see in this picture but Sarah's preggo belly is so cute!

Curt and Nichole

I am going to apologize right now for letting you all down on the Halloween pictures. I literally took 3 pictures! They didn't even turn out good either. Boo. Either way, Ryan and I both went as pirates. My outfit consisted of a red dress with wrist ties, a corset, a head band, fishnet stockings, and black high heels complete with black nail polish, dark eye makeup, and pirate earrings. And of course I added a little flare to my hair by braiding several small pieces to make it more pirate-like. Ryan's outfit was red/black striped pirate pants, black boot covers, the shirt you can see, and a headband. We were pretty cute if I do say so myself :)

The back of my hair before I braided it. I'm really into the hair shots lately, can you tell? It is getting sooooo long!

My favorite nephew Brody all dressed up for Halloween. Isn't he a cutie?!
